Weaving is a process
At this point in my practice I try to find the ease in every part of it. I love all of it.
Any weaver will tell you the ‘weaving’ part - the fun part - is just a small part of the process. There is so much work on the front end, before you weave, and so much work after you cut off the loom, to finish the cloth. Often it is time consuming and tedious, demanding an enormous amount of focus and attention as mistakes made at the beginning of the process can often compound and become ruinous by the end. I am not a natural. It takes all of me.
And so, in it is a dance, a moving meditation, a slow and steady building until you hold in your hands a soft and perfect thing, a something-out-of-nothing.
From my hands to your home.
